Rotel

To think this was a mystery about 4 years ago.

Im on my way to a family gathering and we're asked to bring the stuff for rotel.

Sure ,"I got you, I can get the stuff for rotel!"

Grocery list

  1. rotel

  2. cheezy cheez block, why buy velveeta? Too pricey

BOOM ROTEL.

we get to the party and give them the rotel groceries hahaha and all hell broke loose.

What is this? Where is the rest? where is the beef?

BEEF!! For cheez dip?

This started sounding more and more like Taco dip to me. I was a shell away from Tuesday, okay!

So they left and came back with the ingredients.

ground beef

cheese loaf, any kind/brand

onion flakes or powder

seasoned salt

garlic powder

black pepper

and/or any other taco type seasoning you might like.

The Process

brown the beef on the stove until cooked through, then drain.

TIP 💡 Whenever im just browning beef before a recipe gets started i almost always add some onion powder or flakes. LEVEL UP!

Then season the beef well. turn it to low.

Dice the cheese loaf and add it to your beef.

empty as many cans of rotel you desire.. Cover and keep on low.

or at this point add it all to the slow cooker on low. Works great also!

TIP Cook it too high and fast and the rotel with stiffen up too quickly. Cover it and let the steam help a sista out! Or brotha! wink!
